A Mother’s Love

Mommy can you feel me?
Do you know I am here?
Yes, my child I feel you.
The plastic stick turned pink.

Mommy can you feel me?
You know I’m coming soon.
Yes my child I feel you.
The plastic stick turned pink.

Mommy can you feel me?
You want to give me life.
Yes my child I feel you.
The plastic stick turned pink.

Mommy can you feel me?
The doctor says your sick.
Yes my child I feel you.
The plastic stick turned pink.

Mommy can you feel me?
They’re pulling on my head!
Yes my child I feel you,
but soon you will be dead.

Mommy can you feel me?
They tear me limb from limb!
I do not feel a thing.
Pink means you’re not living.

  1. Katharyne, I finally checked out your website. Obviously. But I’m very impressed and I’m enjoying reading the things you’ve written, particularly this poem. Sharing your writing is a very brave thing to do 🙂
